Policy on Personal Information
1. Definition of Personal Information
Information about an individual customer that can be used to identify the individual customer by name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, name of school attended or graduated from, or other description (including information that cannot be used to identify the customer by itself but can be easily cross-checked with other information to identify the customer) is referred to as “personal information”. (including information that cannot identify an individual by itself but can be easily matched with other information to identify the individual) is referred to as “personal information”.
2. Purpose and Scope of Acquisition and Use of Personal Information
Personal information submitted by our clients will be used primarily for the purpose of providing our services and will not be used for any purpose other than counseling and consulting service purposes.
3. Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties
In principle, we will not disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent. We will only disclose such information after specifying the content of the information provided and obtaining the consent of the customer. However, in the following cases, we may disclose information provided by customers without their consent to the extent that it does not violate related laws and regulations.
- If the customer is determined to be disadvantageous to a third party
- When it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound growth of children and it is difficult to obtain the customer’s consent
- When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, a local government, or an individual or entity entrusted by either a national agency or local government to perform a legally prescribed task, and obtaining the customer’s consent may impede the performance of that task.
- When disclosure of personal information is requested by a court of law, public prosecutor’s office, police, bar association, consumer affairs centre, or any other organization with equivalent authority.
- When a customer who has provided personal information expressly requests us to disclose or provide such information to a third party
- When disclosure or provision of personal information is permitted by law
4. Scope of third parties
In the following cases, the person to whom such personal information is provided shall not fall under the category of a third party for the purpose of applying the provisions of this Article.
- When we outsource all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
- When personal information is provided as a result of the succession of the Company’s business due to a merger or other reasons
