Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced that permanent residence (PR) application fees will increase effective April 30, 2026.
The adjustment is intended to maintain timely and reliable services while keeping pace with inflation. Under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations, PR fees are reviewed and adjusted every two years to reflect program costs and growing demand.
Updated Fees for Principal Applicants
The following fee increases will apply to principal applicants under each program:

Effective Date for new Application Fees
The new fees will apply to applications received on or after April 30, 2026. Applications submitted before this date will be processed under the current fee structure.
