What is Off-Campus?
If you participate in a full-time program of six months or more at a private or public school designated by the Government of Canada to obtain a Degree, Diploma, or Certificate, you are allowed to work off-campus (commonly known as “off-campus work”) for a maximum of 24 hours per week. However, language school programs (ESL) are not eligible. During scheduled breaks, full-time work is permitted, and there are no restrictions on the type of job.
Off-campus requirements
- You must hold a valid study permit.
- You must be enrolled in a full-time program of six months or longer.
- You must possess a valid Social Insurance Number.
