This case study introduces Client N, who returned to Japan for family reasons after obtaining permanent residence and whose PR card had expired. Through a Humanitarian and Compassionate (H&C) application, Client N received a travel document and a PR card renewal. Following the earlier permanent residence application, Shiraishi VisaJP Canada supported an application explaining the family circumstances to IRCC, and a new PR card was obtained about 3 months after applying.
It was a complicated case, so gathering the documents was hard work, but I could leave it all to them with peace of mind, and my PR card was successfully renewed!

About This Visa Application
A few years ago, I obtained permanent residence using Shiraishi VisaJP Canada’s full-service support (consultation plus representation for the application). After getting my PR, I returned to Japan for a while due to family circumstances. When I started thinking it was time to move back to Canada, I found that my PR card had expired. At that point, I decided to ask Ms. Sakurai, the immigration consultant at Shiraishi VisaJP Canada who had helped me before, to take on my case again.
What made you choose Shiraishi VisaJP Canada?
Because of a complicated family situation, I was told that if we could properly explain and convince the immigration authorities of the circumstances, there was a chance I could keep my PR status, but that it would require a special application called H&C (Humanitarian and Compassionate Considerations). I decided to go ahead with it. Since I had no idea at all how to handle the application and renewal myself, I felt very reassured leaving it entirely to Shiraishi VisaJP Canada.
What was the most memorable part of the process?
Gathering the large number of documents required for the PR renewal was really hard work, but I was so happy to have my PR card successfully renewed. Thank you so much, Shiraishi VisaJP Canada, for your quick response and for being someone I could trust with peace of mind!
