After a Post-Graduation Work Permit ended and a temporary return to Japan, Client A attended a free seminar by Shiraishi VisaJP Canada, aiming to work in Canada again as a caregiver, and asked us to handle the study permit and work permit applications. Even when the employer interview in the LMIA review was delayed and the situation grew stressful, the client received calm support and obtained a work permit in approximately 9 months.
Thanks to being able to consult Shiraishi VisaJP Canada, I was able to concentrate only on college.

Why did you decide to immigrate to Canada?
I originally held a three-year Post-Graduation Work Permit and was working toward PR, but for personal reasons I returned to Japan for an extended period and came back to Canada after my work permit had expired. I then attended a free seminar by Shiraishi VisaJP Canada for the first time, aiming to get a new work permit as a caregiver.
What made you choose Shiraishi VisaJP Canada?
After that, I consulted immigration consultant Ms. Yamashita about many things. However, I had no visa that allowed me to work, and since I could not do trial work while job hunting, finding a sponsor was very difficult. After much thought, I decided to take the long way round and look for a sponsor while working as a student on a study permit. Luckily, my practicum placement during my studies offered to sponsor me, so from there I continued to ask Ms. Yamashita for support.
What was the most memorable part of the process?
In my case, although the LMIA documents had been accepted, there was still no interview with my employer after 5 months, and my visa, which allowed a 3-month stay after graduation, was about to expire. I was really anxious and flustered, not knowing what to do. In the middle of all this, Ms. Yamashita not only submitted an urgent request but also called Service Canada many times; she was always calm and composed and did everything she could. She also presented me, anxious as I was, with several options based on various possible scenarios, and thanks to that I was able to calmly decide what I should do.
In the end, I decided to return to Japan temporarily to wait for the LMIA, but she gave me detailed advice from Canada while I was in Japan, such as on the application documents for entry and how to handle immigration at the border. Even from far away I never felt worried, and I obtained a two-year work permit at the airport without any problems.
How was your experience using Shiraishi VisaJP Canada’s services?
At my college, classes and the practicum ran at the same time, so I really had no time, and my head was full of daily assignments with no room to think about anything else. In that situation, applying on my own would have been impossible. Thanks to being able to consult Shiraishi VisaJP Canada, I was able to concentrate only on college and graduated successfully. Considering that, I think the consulting fee was the price of peace of mind, both mental and physical.
Future outlook and a message for those planning to travel to Canada
Next, I plan to ask Shiraishi VisaJP Canada for help again toward obtaining PR. When I think about how doing it on your own can lead to mistakes that cost extra time and money, or to stress that affects your health, I believe asking a trustworthy consultant is the best shortcut. Ms. Yamashita, thank you so much!
