Shiraishi VisaJP Canada supports study permit applications for parents studying abroad with their children. In this case, we share the story of Ms. M, who needed to return to Japan temporarily during a review that ran far longer than expected, and who obtained her study permit and began a parent-and-child study abroad experience in Canada.
Ms. Prezia stayed close beside me, and her careful, smooth handling of the process was a tremendous help.

Key Points from the Consultant
The review ran far longer than expected, and throughout it the client always consulted us before taking any action.
Entering and leaving Canada while an application is under review carries risk, so it was genuinely helpful that she raised those points with us in advance.
In the end the visa was approved in the form she had hoped for, and I am truly delighted.
We contacted IRCC many times without the review moving forward, and we are sincerely grateful for her patience. We wish her all the best with the parent-and-child study abroad experience in Canada.
Immigration Consultant
Born in Japan. Worked at a major non-life insurance company before deciding to quit at age 30 and moving to Canada on a Working Holiday visa at age 31. After getting married and raising children, she began thinking about her career in Canada. Wanting to support others who are seeking a fresh start abroad, she enrolled at Ashton College and became a licensed immigration consultant certified by the Canadian government.
Client Comments
Why did you decide to immigrate to Canada?
I wanted my child to acquire English ability and to experience a culture and environment outside Japan, so I made the bold decision to study abroad together. I had never been to Canada, but I chose it because it is close to the United States and I thought we would be able to learn clear English here.
What made you choose Shiraishi VisaJP Canada?
I had watched their YouTube videos many times over a long period. They explained genuinely useful information carefully, which gave me confidence in them. When I requested a quote, the cost compared favourably with other companies, and that was also a major deciding factor.
What was the most memorable part of the process?
Obtaining the visa took a long time, and on top of that there were circumstances that meant I absolutely had to return to Japan, so I went home carrying a lot of anxiety. We exchanged messages many times about my questions at that point and I always received careful replies, which reassured me. And above all, the joy when the visa was approved has stayed with me.
How was your experience using Shiraishi VisaJP Canada’s services?
I had once had a visa application refused because of my own mistake, so this time I was even more anxious. But Ms. Prezia, who handled my case, stayed close beside me, and her careful, smooth handling of the process was a tremendous help. If I had applied on my own, I think I would have spent that long wait in constant anxiety. I truly feel it was the right decision to ask them.
Future outlook and a message for those planning to travel to Canada
I think Canada is a very easy country to live in. I decided without thinking too deeply about it, but my child is enjoying life here and, because the country is so diverse, there is no prejudice against Asian people. I am genuinely glad we chose Canada.
Additional Comments
The process took longer than I had imagined, and during that time Ms. Prezia and I exchanged many messages. Her email replies were always thoughtful, and I was able to wait with real peace of mind. No amount of thanks feels like enough. Thank you so very much.
