Customer Comments and Testimonials

This case involved a client who decided to study in Canada both to support her teenage child’s education abroad and to advance her own career.

As the parent of a minor studying in Canada, she remained in Canada as a visitor while applying for her own Student Visa. Her first application was unexpectedly withdrawn due to an issue on the school’s side, requiring her to submit a second application. Despite this unusual situation, she successfully obtained her Student Visa with the accurate and timely support of our immigration consultants.

Why did you decide to move to Canada?

My child, who was entering high school, decided to study in Canada. I wanted to challenge myself by living in Canada while also supporting my child, so I decided to pursue an educational opportunity for myself in Canada as well.

Why did you decide to use Shiraishi Visa JP Canada’s services?

Last year, I applied for my child’s Student Visa myself, but the application took a long time to receive a result. I contacted Shiraishi Visa JP Canada and received various helpful suggestions from Mr. Nishizawa, which left a very positive impression on me.

When it came time to apply for my own visa, I received advice from Mr. Shiraishi and Mr. Nishizawa from the consultation stage onward. Their guidance helped me organize and clarify my plans for my future in Canada.

I also needed to obtain my Student Visa within a very short timeframe, so I decided to entrust the application to them without hesitation.

What was the most memorable part of the application and visa process?

I received very detailed instructions from the document preparation stage, which made the process easy to understand.

My situation was somewhat unusual because I am a Chinese national with permanent residence in Japan, and I was applying for a Student Visa while staying in Canada as a visitor.

However, Mr. Gould was able to provide various suggestions based on his past experience with similar cases. He also took the time to carefully explain my concerns and questions each time they arose, which made me feel that I was in very capable hands.

How was your experience using Shiraishi Visa JP Canada’s services?

I was particularly impressed by how thorough and detailed their responses were, as well as how quickly they responded when an emergency arose.

In my case, my first application was withdrawn and I had to submit a second application. Both applications took a considerable amount of time to process, but the team repeatedly followed up with immigration authorities, including outside regular business hours when necessary.

At one point, there was also a possibility that the situation could affect my child’s visa. I consulted Mr. Gould about this, and even though the matter was outside the scope of my own application, he kindly provided advice and guidance. This was extremely helpful.

What are your hopes for your future life in Canada, and what message would you give to people planning to come to Canada?

Canada has become the second country where I have studied abroad. I find it very comfortable to live here because of its beautiful natural environment, and people are friendly and kind.

Perhaps because Canada is a country built by immigration, I feel there is little discrimination based on nationality, age, or gender. Schools also have students from a wide range of age groups, so I believe Canada provides an environment where anyone who truly wants to study abroad can make that dream a reality.

Additional Comments

There is a great deal of information you need to research when applying for a Canadian visa, and there are many documents that need to be prepared. Even after submitting an application, it can be difficult to see how the process is progressing, which can be very stressful.

In my case, I was very glad that I decided to ask Visa JP Canada for assistance. Their support was extremely helpful!

Consultant's Point

Ms. X asked us to handle her Student Visa application for a master’s degree program. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected issue, she was ultimately required to submit her application twice. After the first application had been under review for an extended period, IRCC unilaterally withdrew the application on the grounds that the school had not verified her Letter of Acceptance (LOA) within the required timeframe. In fact, the school had already completed the verification well in advance. We immediately worked with Ms. X to prepare and submit a new application, and she responded promptly and cooperatively throughout the process. However, the second application also took a considerable amount of time to process, and the approval did not arrive before her originally scheduled enrollment date. As a result, we submitted an updated Letter of Acceptance showing her new enrollment date. We continued to follow up with IRCC on multiple occasions, but the response remained the same: the application was still under review and she simply needed to wait. This resulted in a prolonged period of uncertainty and caused Ms. X considerable inconvenience and stress. Eventually, her approval arrived safely. Interestingly, IRCC did not request any additional documents or ask any further questions at the final stage, leaving us with a long period in which all we could do was wait for the decision. For that reason, we were especially relieved when her application was finally approved. Although Ms. X is an exceptionally intelligent person, she was also consistently considerate, cooperative, and thorough throughout the entire process, which allowed us to proceed very smoothly despite the unexpected complications. We sincerely appreciate her warm cooperation and patience throughout the process.
