Jinzai Canada's immigration consultant explained everything clearly and thoroughly, even to someone like me with no knowledge of visas, so I had been relying on them since my work permit application. I had great trust in my consultant for the immigration application as well. I'm so glad I was able to immigrate!
Why I came to Canada / Vancouver
I had always wanted to eventually open my own salon as a hair stylist. But in Japan there are so many salons and the competition is fierce, so I set my sights on going overseas.
I went to scout several countries, and in Canada I heard that Japanese hair stylists are highly regarded, and from the look of the city I felt I could have my own salon here someday. It wasn’t only that I could run a business; it was also important that it was a place where my wife and I wanted to live and an environment where we could raise children without problems in the future.
How I got permanent residence
At first, the plan was for my wife, who came to Canada with me, to apply for immigration and for me to get an open work permit as her spouse, but when we consulted a Jinzai Canada immigration consultant, they told us that applying based on my skills rather than my wife’s would give a higher chance of success.
After my WH, the salon run by an acquaintance where I was working became my sponsor, and I applied for a work permit twice. After that, I applied for immigration as a Hair Stylist under the BCPNP category. My wife gave birth during the application, but since she gave birth before the medical exam, processing wasn’t delayed, the immigration application was completed in no time, and that brings us to today.

My Dream of Opening My Own Salon Came True
For work in Canada, connections matter. With help from people around me, I finally opened my own salon in April 2012. I work hard every day as if I’m representing Japan. With both immigration and starting a business, those who take action win!
