Permanent residence is by no means an impossible path. But it is not a smooth one; it is a complicated journey. And the Canadian government's immigration laws and rules really do change frequently. Through this experience I learned that the best approach is to entrust your case to a visa professional you are comfortable with and can trust.
How you learned about us and why you decided to use our services
I was previously using a different consultant, but when converting my work experience and education into scores, I noticed that the consultant and I interpreted things differently. At that point I was about to move on to the application stage, but I had started to worry, “Is it really okay to keep going like this…?”
Around that time, I first heard the name “Visa JP Canada” from someone I had met through work. And at almost the same time, I casually told a Japanese friend who has lived in Vancouver for a long time about my situation. That friend also said, “There’s an office in Vancouver called Visa JP Canada with Japanese visa consultants, so it might be worth asking them!”
So I made an inquiry and had a consultation with visa consultant Ms. Yamashita. From the very first response to my inquiry, they gave me a clear fee quote and carefully explained the flow from preparation to application. Considering that and my impression from the consultation with Ms. Yamashita, I really wanted Visa JP Canada to support me, so I switched to their support partway through the application stage.
What was the hardest part, or the most memorable part, of the process of obtaining permanent residence?

From submitting the application until processing was complete, the only information I got from the immigration authorities was along the lines of “IRCC is currently checking document XX,” so at times I wondered, “Is IRCC really moving forward with the review…?” However, after I first asked Ms. Yamashita to prepare my application and she submitted all the documents, IRCC sent notice that “all documents have been received,” so I never worried about missing documents or errors.
The hard part was studying for and taking the language proficiency test several times to get a good score. It had been a very long time since I had studied English, and I fully understood that I had strengths and weaknesses depending on the skill. So I worked through past questions while timing myself, tackled various types of questions, and studied correct grammar and vocabulary usage again, aiming to raise my scores in my strong areas and avoid low scores in my weak areas.
What you appreciated about using our services
I am truly grateful to Visa JP Canada for supporting and helping me from my very first inquiry through to the final stage. I asked Ms. Yamashita in particular so many questions, including about the documents I needed to prepare in Japan and Canada, and what would happen after applying. Each time, she gave me careful answers and precise advice that cleared away my doubts and worries.
Looking back now, I strongly feel that this is why I was able to get through the preparation stage and the wait for the review without stress or anxiety. From preparation through the application stage to the final stage, my communication with Visa JP Canada was only by email or phone, but they always made me feel that they were right beside me, supporting me carefully, which was very reassuring for me.

Through this experience I learned that the best way to do that is to entrust your case to a visa professional you are comfortable with and can trust.
