With her working holiday visa about to expire, Ms. K was introduced by a friend to Shiraishi VisaJP Canada and asked us to handle her outland Family Class permanent residence application. Despite her anxiety while her sponsor’s documents took about half a year to gather, she received careful support and obtained permanent residence about 3 months after applying.

Why did you decide to immigrate to Canada?
The working holiday visa I had been using was about to expire, so I decided to apply for permanent residence.
What made you choose Shiraishi VisaJP Canada?
A friend who had applied for permanent residence a few years earlier told me about Shiraishi VisaJP Canada.
What was the most memorable part of the process?
The hardest part of the process of obtaining permanent residence was that it took about half a year for my sponsor’s documents to be ready. My own documents were ready by the planned date, so I felt quite frustrated and anxious about this.
In the end, we managed to submit the application just before the end of the year and were able to complete all of the procedures in about three months in total, but gathering the documents was my biggest worry.
How was your experience using Shiraishi VisaJP Canada’s services?
My husband is a native speaker, so we could have applied on our own without relying on an agent, but we were busy with work and were not confident that we could prepare the detailed application documents ourselves, so we decided to have them apply on our behalf. What stood out most was that we could leave everything to them and proceed with peace of mind. Everything was new to me and I did not understand much, so I kept asking questions, but they explained things carefully every time.
Future outlook and a message for those planning to travel to Canada
I still sometimes feel confused by cultural differences or miss Japan, but from now on I want to take my time getting used to life in Canada and find a place where I can thrive.
To those who are about to apply for permanent residence: the required documents are very detailed, but I hope you will rely on an immigration consultant and move your application forward smoothly.
