Obtaining a Spousal Open Work Permit After Her Husband Received His Work Permit|Ms. I

Hoping to return to Vancouver, which they had come to love during a working holiday, this couple asked Shiraishi VisaJP Canada for help with everything from job placement and the husband’s work permit to Ms. I’s Spousal Open Work Permit. Even though the couple entered Canada separately, the entry process was carefully explained in advance, and she obtained her Spousal Open Work Permit smoothly.
A spousal work permit can also be obtained separately at a later date!

Client Comments
Why did you decide to immigrate to Canada?
My husband and I lived in Vancouver for a year on a working holiday in 2009. We loved the relaxed life in Vancouver and began to think we would like to come back one day.
What made you choose Shiraishi VisaJP Canada?
After returning to Japan, we learned that my husband could obtain a work permit in his line of work. While he was looking for a job, we happened to find Jinzai Canada’s website and contacted them, and Jinzai Canada helped us with everything from job placement to the work permit application.
I did not know that when a husband obtains a work permit, his wife can also get a permit that allows her to work as a spouse, but they told us about it at our very first consultation, which was very helpful for making concrete plans for our return to Vancouver.
What was the most memorable part of the process?
Because of my job, my husband entered Canada first, and I entered about three months later. Entering separately from my husband made me a little nervous, but the consultant mailed the documents I needed for entry to me in Japan and explained in advance what to prepare and how the entry process would go, so I was able to obtain my spousal work permit and enter Canada smoothly.
How was your experience using Shiraishi VisaJP Canada’s services?
After our working holiday, I vaguely hoped to come back to Vancouver, and because Jinzai Canada and Shiraishi VisaJP Canada took care of everything from the job search to the visa procedures, we were able to return to Vancouver.
Future outlook and a message for those planning to travel to Canada
Next, we are aiming to immigrate as a couple. Immigration seems to require much more preparation than a work permit, so we would like to start preparing little by little now, while talking with the consultant.
