After the permanent residence he had once obtained lapsed, Mr. S aimed to obtain Family Class permanent residence again with his wife as his sponsor. Client Comments
Why did you decide to immigrate to Canada?
More than 10 years ago, my family and I obtained permanent residence, but because my second daughter and I had returned to Japan and had been living there for more than five years, our permanent residence lapsed. However, I really wanted to live in Canada again, so I set out to obtain permanent residence a second time with my wife as my sponsor.
What was the most memorable part of the process?
I had heard that the immigration law would change from this year and that the age limit for accompanying children would be lowered. Since my second daughter was 18, right on the borderline, we had to submit all the documents during December of last year, so it was a very hectic year-end. (In the end, the lower age limit took effect in August, but I still think it was good that we applied early.)
How was your experience using Shiraishi VisaJP Canada’s services?
Ours was a special case, a second permanent residence application, so we consulted various immigration lawyers and consultants. Among them, Shiraishi VisaJP Canada had the most information and responded most sincerely, so we chose them. Even after we asked them to handle our case, they provided attentive support, and as a result we obtained permanent residence in an unexpectedly short 7.5 months. We are very grateful.
Future outlook and a message for those planning to travel to Canada
After moving, I want to fully enjoy nature and life in Canada. Canada’s immigration law changes often, so I recommend working on it while consulting a consultant you can trust.
