I first consulted Shiraishi VisaJP Canada when I attended a consultation session that consultant Ms. Shiraishi was holding in Japan. My wife and I both love Canada, and having a child prompted us to want to live in Canada as a family.

Our child had only just been born and my wife wanted to focus on raising our child, so basically I would pursue permanent residence on my own.

This was the hardest part. It took eight months, longer than planned, before I could finally go to the college I wanted.

When I started college, my wife and child came over from Japan. That was definitely a big source of strength for me.

I chose a course based on my career in Japan, so I enjoyed my studies at college. The college had a mix of young people fresh out of high school and older people who wanted to change careers, from all sorts of countries, which was very stimulating and made me want to work hard.

It was also around this time that we were thoroughly enjoying life in Canada as a family, and our wish to stay longer and settle here permanently grew stronger and stronger.

Finding a Job on a PGWP and Finally Applying for Permanent Residence

When looking for a job after graduating, I also proceeded while consulting Ms. Shiraishi. I went to interviews with many companies while asking the school’s career centre for advice, had Ms. Shiraishi review the employment conditions, and she helped me narrow it down to the company that would be best for obtaining permanent residence.

Fortunately, I was hired by the large company I had been aiming for, and three months after I started working, I consulted about applying for permanent residence. When we discussed the permanent residence application, Ms. Shiraishi explained the details and documents that I could not fully explain myself to my boss, and my boss readily agreed.

Then came the application. We left the application entirely to Shiraishi VisaJP Canada, so all we had to do was exactly what we were told.

I was busy with work, so I left permanent residence to the experts and spent the time and energy I saved with my family.

We obtained permanent residence, and our child, who was a baby, is now in elementary school. It is truly wonderful that we can send our child to an elementary school in Canada. I am glad we took the plunge and moved towards our dream.
