Why did you decide to immigrate to Canada?
I continued a long-distance relationship between Japan and Canada with my Canadian boyfriend (now my husband), whom I met while staying in Canada on a working holiday, and we married in Canada in April 2019. At that time too, I was only on a short stay as a visitor. After the wedding I returned to Japan for work, and I stayed in Japan from preparing the permanent residence application through to submission and the end of processing.
