Why did you decide to immigrate to Canada?

When my son went to study in Toronto, we applied for his working holiday visa on our own and obtained it easily in just two weeks. So when my son’s fiancée (a Brazilian national living in Japan) was going to visit Canada, partly for sightseeing, I tried to apply on my own in the same way, but the application was rejected because of insufficient documents. I did not give up and sent inquiry emails to the immigration office many times, but I never received a satisfactory reply and was at a loss.

What was the most memorable part of the process?
