Partway through the husband’s permanent residence application, the couple began considering marriage. Since the review of his permanent residence application was already in its final stages, they decided on the latter approach – obtaining permanent residence first, then marrying and applying through Family Class.
What was the most memorable part of the process?
The most memorable part of the Family Class application process was the photographs among the submitted documents.
The Family Class application requires about 20 photos of the couple together. Because they had been together for a long time, they had plenty of photos, but selecting them so the dates didn’t overlap and the time between each photo wasn’t too far apart – choosing by year and by month – was quite a challenge.
