After studying in Canada on a Study Permit, Client O asked Shiraishi VisaJP Canada to handle a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) application. Due to health issues, there was a period when Client O could not return to Canada, requiring a switch to an application from Japan, but the PGWP was obtained in about 2.5 months.
Visa rules really do change in so many ways, so I'm glad I left it to a professional.

Key Points from the Consultant
After hearing about the applicant's concerns, wishes, and circumstances, we proceeded with an online application from Japan.
Because their circumstances changed, it took some time before they could travel after approval, but since we had also discussed possible trouble at the airport in advance, the visa was issued successfully in the end.

Client Comments
Why did you decide to immigrate to Canada?
Because it’s a country where I can live true to my own heart.
What made you choose Shiraishi VisaJP Canada?
Being able to reach out casually through LINE made it easier to ask questions compared with other consulting companies, and communication was very smooth and quick. I had also previously joined a free Q&A session held over Zoom, which gave me even more confidence in asking them for support.
What was the most memorable part of the process?
At first, I temporarily returned to Japan due to health problems and family issues, and planned to apply for my Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) at the airport three months later. However, my circumstances changed and I was unable to return to Canada for a while, so I had to switch to applying from Japan instead. At that time, neither when I would return to Canada nor when my visa application would be approved was certain, which was emotionally difficult. If I had been applying on my own, I think I would have faced even more problems.
Leaving the application to a professional made me feel so much more at ease psychologically, and that reassurance really meant a lot. In the end, I was glad I had applied from Japan before returning to Canada.
How was your experience using Shiraishi VisaJP Canada’s services?
So that I would have absolutely no worries at the end, they kindly and carefully explained everything to me over Zoom, and also told me what to watch out for when leaving immigration at the airport. Because of that, even when there was a mistake in the expected visa issuance timeline, I was able to persistently handle it myself!!
Future outlook and a message for those planning to travel to Canada
I currently live in Toronto, but since it’s difficult to obtain permanent residence (PR) here, I’m considering moving somewhere else. Honestly, though, I still don’t have the courage to leave a place I’m used to and move to a completely unfamiliar small town. Still, I honestly feel pressure that I need to get my PR first…
Life in Canada is by no means easy, and thinking about PR sometimes feels like a battle with loneliness. But for me, this is still a more mentally free country than Japan, so I intend to keep pushing all the way through toward getting my PR!!
I think people who come to Canada have all kinds of different goals. In particular, I imagine many people who come on a Working Holiday are spending their time in Canada with the future assumption that they will return to Japan. Whatever it may be, I think it’s important to have at least one goal you want to accomplish, and not to pessimistically compare everything to Japan every time you notice something is ‘different from Japan!!’
Of course, it’s very valuable to go abroad and come to appreciate the good things about Japan, but once you come to Canada, I think you can live more freely if you set aside your Japanese sense of normal, at least for a while.
Additional Comments
Thank you so much for your help with my Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) application. Going forward, I want to keep working toward permanent residence, so I hope I can continue to count on your support!!!
