It began with marrying my wife, who is a Canadian citizen. At the time we were living in Croatia, in Europe, and it coincided with my wife’s pregnancy. Thinking about our future as a family, we concluded together that now was the time to move to Canada, and so we did.

While valuing the environment I am in and the opportunities I have been given, I want to live each day carefully and never forget my gratitude to this country.
Even if some reason should one day take us away from Canada, I want to build a life here that lets me say with my head held high: deciding to move to Canada then was absolutely the right choice.
