This case involved a client who came to Canada seeking a better educational environment for his children and opportunities for his family to grow together. Upon graduating from college, he asked us to assist with his Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) application.
In addition to his PGWP application, we simultaneously handled his spouse’s work permit application and Visitor Visa applications for multiple children. Why did you decide to move to Canada?

What was the most memorable part of the application and visa process?
My situation was quite complicated because we had several different types of applications: my Post-Graduation Work Permit, my spouse’s work permit, and Visitor Visas for multiple children.
Despite this complexity, all of our applications were approved successfully the first time, without any need to redo or resubmit anything. I was very impressed and extremely grateful for how smoothly everything went.

In the end, I am very glad that I did.

Personally, I am very glad that I came to Canada.

Shiraishi Visa JP Canada has extensive knowledge covering everything from Study Permits to permanent residence, and it has been extremely helpful to have access to advice on long-term visa strategies.
It may be possible to research everything yourself and handle the process on your own, but there is a clear difference in efficiency when you consult with professionals.
If you have even the slightest concerns about your visa application, I would highly recommend consulting a professional.
Mr. H trusted us from an early stage, even before completing his studies, and asked us to assist with his PGWP (Post-Graduation Work Permit), his spouse’s Open Work Permit, and Visitor Visa applications for his children. Being able to proceed with the applications immediately after all the necessary documents became available following graduation was an important factor in achieving such a quick approval. In January 2025, the eligibility requirements for Spousal Open Work Permits became more restrictive, limiting eligibility to spouses of workers in certain skill levels and occupations. As a result, we also needed the cooperation of Mr. H’s employer to provide a supporting employment letter. We sincerely appreciate the tremendous cooperation provided by both Mr. H and his employer. Applications for work permits submitted from within Canada were taking an average of more than six months, and applications involving family members could potentially take even longer. Against this backdrop, we were pleasantly surprised and very pleased to see that the entire family received approval in just approximately 1.5 months.
