When his company contract was ending, this client consulted us about the possibility of permanent residence, learned that he could apply even after leaving his job, and asked Shiraishi VisaJP Canada to handle a Canadian Experience Class (CEC) application. Even in the unusual situation of applying after returning to Japan, the consultant met him in person, and he obtained permanent residence in 11 months.
The application preparation became a last-minute rush, but everything went smoothly after it was submitted!

Client Comments
Why did you decide to immigrate to Canada?
As my contract with my company was coming to an end, I went to ask whether I could obtain permanent residence, and I learned that with my work history I could apply even after leaving my job. Many translators work freelance, and it is difficult to be hired full-time. My PG permit still had time left on it, but since I was told I could apply for permanent residence even after returning home, I returned to Japan when my contract ended.
What was the most memorable part of the process?
I went back intending to apply for permanent residence from Japan, but with my new life and work in Japan, before I knew it ten months had passed. Under the rules at the time, you had to apply within one year of leaving your job, so I hurriedly started on the application. At that time, the Shiraishi VisaJP Canada consultant, who happened to be back in Japan on a personal visit, even met me in Tokyo; they really helped me a lot. As an aside, the credit card I used to pay the application fee was somehow locked, so Canadian immigration could not charge it, and my application was returned twice. You may want to be careful about this too. Apart from that, everything went smoothly.
Future outlook and a message for those planning to travel to Canada
I have completed my landing, and after finishing my current job in Japan, I plan to move to Canada for good from next year onward. Thank you for all your help.
