Came on a Working Holiday, Then Obtained Permanent Residence Through Work as a Hairstylist|Client H

Seeking an environment where the client could make use of a career as a hairstylist, Client H decided to move to Canada and, after a working holiday, asked Shiraishi VisaJP Canada, through the hair salon where the client worked, to apply for a work permit on the client’s behalf. With careful support, including obtaining proof of education from Japan, the client obtained permanent residence through the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) in about 11 months.
I was busy with work every day, so I’m glad they applied on my behalf.

Why did you decide to immigrate to Canada?
One of the reasons I chose Canada was its large Asian market. I had also heard that there are many immigrants and that it is an easy place to live, so I decided to go to Canada, thinking I could make use of my career as a hairstylist in Japan.
After studying English and then a working holiday, I returned to Japan once, but I still wanted to enjoy life in Canada for a long time, so I decided to aim for permanent residence.
What made you choose Shiraishi VisaJP Canada?
The hair salon in Vancouver where I had worked on my working holiday visa agreed to apply for a work permit for me after I returned to Japan. That salon always uses Shiraishi VisaJP Canada for help with work permits, so Shiraishi VisaJP Canada applied for my work permit on my behalf and I obtained it. Following on from that, I decided to ask Shiraishi VisaJP Canada to handle my permanent residence application as well.
What was the most memorable part of the process?
What I remember about the road to permanent residence is how hard it was to gather documents from Japan. In particular, getting proof of my education during the COVID-19 pandemic took more time and effort than I had expected. If the hairdressing vocational school I graduated from in Japan was assessed as equivalent to a Canadian college, I would get more points, so I worked hard to contact the school and somehow managed to obtain proof of a college-equivalent education.
How was your experience using Shiraishi VisaJP Canada’s services?
Because of my job, it was hard for me to constantly check for updates and messages, but Ms. Shiraishi and all the staff helped with the things I couldn’t manage, so I’m glad I asked them to apply on my behalf.
