Applying for a work permit for the first time together with the employer, this client asked Shiraishi VisaJP Canada to handle the application. Despite difficulties including an LMO refusal and a temporary government suspension of applications, the work permit was obtained in approximately 15 months.
The case became a long one, coinciding with rule changes and a suspension of application intake, but the client waited patiently in Japan and it ended with a good result.

Client Comments
What made you choose Shiraishi VisaJP Canada?
It was the first time for both the owner and me to apply for a work permit, so I am really glad we asked Shiraishi VisaJP Canada.
I was able to communicate in Japanese with the counsellor and immigration consultant in charge, and since I could not fully explain the application to the owner myself, they did so in English by email and phone.
What was the most memorable part of the process?
The timing of my application was unfortunate: the LMO was refused once, and the government temporarily stopped accepting applications, so things did not go as I had hoped. At one point I considered giving up on the work permit and going for a post-graduation work permit instead, and I even consulted them about schools, but after that it became possible to apply under the LMIA, and I finally obtained my work permit.
How was your experience using Shiraishi VisaJP Canada’s services?
The government changed various visa rules, so I do not think I could have handled it on my own. Throughout, they responded quickly to every problem and answered my detailed questions every time. I am very grateful to Shiraishi VisaJP Canada. It was worth trusting them and waiting.
