What made you choose Shiraishi VisaJP Canada?
First, how I came to ask Shiraishi VisaJP Canada to handle my application. Some of my friends had applied for work permits and permanent residence by themselves to save money, but after hearing about the process, the time it took and the risks, the only option for me was to get help from professionals.
At the time I was attending a private college, so about nine months before graduating, I requested a consultation for the first time, intending to apply for an LMIA work permit, and the consultant in charge was Ms. Sakurai of Shiraishi VisaJP Canada.
What was the most memorable part of the process?
However, just as we started the procedures for the LMIA application, my marriage to my Canadian husband was decided, and partway through we switched to a permanent residence application under the Family Class.

What I remember most about obtaining permanent residence is when I had to decide between an inland application and an outland application.
Each had its own advantage: with an inland application I could get a work permit in Canada, and with an outland application I could return to Japan during processing, so I was very torn about which to choose. Here too, the information Ms. Sakurai and Ms. Yamashita provided was extremely helpful.
In the end, because obtaining permanent residence through an outland application would not take much longer than getting a work permit through an inland application, and because my husband encouraged me to enjoy time with my family in Japan, I was able to decide on an outland application. They then submitted it through the newly launched online application.

What I appreciated most about using the application service was, above all, the “peace of mind” you cannot get when applying on your own. Even with the online application that had only just started, I never had any trouble and could simply act as instructed.
Not only regarding the permanent residence application, but also about the timing of my return to Japan and back to Canada, the documents needed to re-enter Canada and so on, they kindly responded to everything I asked.
After applying, there were no problems with my documents, I spent four and a half months with my family in Japan, and ten days after re-entering Canada I became a permanent resident, which was a perfect timeline for me.
When I first asked them, I was told it would take about eight months, so I was really surprised that I actually obtained permanent residence in a short five months.
Future outlook and a message for those planning to travel to Canada
Now that I have obtained permanent residence, I am excited to build a home in Canada with my husband while working in a job that makes use of the qualification I earned at college!
You can obtain a work permit or permanent residence on your own, but if you ask professionals, you can spend the time until you get permanent residence with peace of mind. I hope that those thinking of moving to Canada can make their dreams come true just as I did!
