Client H, who attended a free information session held by Shiraishi VisaJP Canada during a working holiday, went from a student visa to a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) and asked us to handle everything up to the permanent residence application. Despite struggling to find an employer to support a work permit, the client obtained permanent residence through the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) in about 7 months.
We continued to assist the client even after moving from an employer in Vancouver to one in Kelowna, and the client applied for permanent residence through the Express Entry system.

Client Comments
Why did you decide to immigrate to Canada?
My first trip to Canada was on a working holiday. While working as a professional in Japan, I could not give up on the working holiday I had always wanted to do, so I came to Vancouver on a so-called “last-chance working holiday,” just under the age limit. I wanted to advance my career and work locally after the working holiday if possible, which led me from a student visa to a post-graduation work permit, then a work permit, and finally a permanent residence application.
What made you choose Shiraishi VisaJP Canada?
I remember first learning about Shiraishi VisaJP Canada when I attended a free information session during my working holiday. After that, I switched to a student visa on my own and went to school, and when I applied for a post-graduation work permit after graduating, I went to consult them again. That was how it started. I had run into trouble once when switching from my working holiday visa, and since then I felt it was safer to leave even small applications to professionals. At the time, Shiraishi VisaJP Canada was well known as the go-to company for visa applications.
What was the most memorable part of the process?
Finding an employer to support my work permit was the most stressful part. At first, I was moving forward with a work permit application with the employer I had been working for on my post-graduation work permit, but the visa application rules, which were being revised frequently at the time, made the requirements difficult, and things did not progress. With less than two months left on my visa, I was understandably anxious and was looking for a new workplace at the same time. When I found an employer willing to support me at the very last minute, I felt truly glad from the bottom of my heart that I had not given up until the end!
How was your experience using Shiraishi VisaJP Canada’s services?
I had originally thought that I would not have time to prepare the application documents myself while working. It took me some time to prepare the required documents, but it was great to be able to leave the application itself to the immigration consultant in charge.
Future outlook and a message for those planning to travel to Canada
Actually, even at my final landing, I had a small dispute with the immigration officer that made me nervous. I realized that while you never know what will happen until the very end, it is also important never to give up until the end!
