After marrying a Canadian while in Canada on a working holiday, Ms. S asked Shiraishi VisaJP Canada to handle an inland permanent residence application under the Family Class (spouse). With our careful guidance, she obtained permanent residence in about 6 months.
After applying, I was able to keep working while I waited, and I was relieved to get permanent residence in six months.

Why did you decide to immigrate to Canada?
I came to Canada on a working holiday visa in the summer of 2021, during the pandemic, and after getting married I started thinking about applying for PR.
What made you choose Shiraishi VisaJP Canada?
I felt that Shiraishi VisaJP Canada had a good reputation and a strong track record, so I decided to ask them to handle my permanent residence application.
Ms. Gould, who handled my case, is a very trustworthy person, and from our very first communication she gave me clear guidance and instructions.
What was the most memorable part of the process?
My working holiday visa was about to expire and I wanted to keep working while I waited, so I chose to apply inland.
It took my partner and me a little time to gather the documents, but thanks to the application service, we did not have any particular difficulties.
Family Class applications are no longer accepted by mail and have moved online, but I think we were among the last to apply by mail, just before that change. When we applied, my working holiday visa had only just over a month left, and we were told that an open work permit usually takes four months to be decided, so I was worried about whether it would come through in time. However, it was approved two weeks before my working holiday visa expired, so I was able to keep working while I waited.
Ms. Gould kept me informed at each step, and I obtained permanent residence about six months after applying.
How was your experience using Shiraishi VisaJP Canada’s services?
On our own, we might have ended up arguing over things like which documents to fill out and how, so I am glad we used this service. My husband is also happy that I got permanent residence so quickly.
