After a working holiday and a co-op program, this client wanted to stay longer and asked Shiraishi VisaJP Canada to handle a work permit application as a pastry chef. Despite being temporarily refused entry because of past unpaid volunteer work, the client reapplied after six months outside Canada, following coordination with the employer, and ultimately obtained permanent residence in about 12 months.
A major problem arose partway through the application, but we overcame it together, and the client obtained permanent residence!

What made you choose Shiraishi VisaJP Canada?
After I had already stayed in Canada for a long time on a working holiday, a co-op program and as a visitor, I still wanted to stay longer, so I contacted Shiraishi VisaJP Canada (known as Jinzai Canada at the time) to see if there was any way.
What was the most memorable part of the process?
The dessert shop where I had worked during my co-op offered to help me, so I consulted the consultant, and we decided to apply for a work permit for a pastry chef position that made use of my experience in Japan. The LMO was approved, but when I tried to apply for the work permit at airport immigration, it came to light that I had helped out at the dessert shop as an unpaid volunteer while I was a visitor, and I was refused entry on the grounds of unauthorized work. At that time, the consultant stepped in between my Canadian employer and me in Japan to sort out various matters, and I am very grateful for that. After that, I waited outside Canada for six months, tried applying for the visa at the airport again, and successfully received it. From there, the immigration application went very smoothly, and today I received my permanent residence.
Additional Comments
Even someone like me, who went through so much, was able to obtain permanent residence thanks to Shiraishi VisaJP Canada. Thank you so much.
