What is the BCPNP Tech and Priority Occupation?
The BCPNP focuses on strategic initiatives to promote the province’s economic development through immigration. A key priority is fast‐tracking applications from workers in sectors facing labour shortages. Currently, specific skilled and professional occupations in childcare, construction, healthcare, technology, and veterinary care are prioritized.

Job Offer under BCPNP Tech and Priority Occupations
Job Offer
- Full-time, permanent job offer is required. However, for Tech Occupations, a job offer of at least one year (contract-based) with at least 120 days remaining on the contract is sufficient to apply.
- For Construction Occupations, applicants must either hold a certificate of qualification issued by SkilledTradesBC or be registered in an apprenticeship program with SkilledTradesBC.
