Client S was aiming to apply for permanent residence through Express Entry when news came of a sudden change to the points system, and quickly decided to switch to the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) on our advice at Shiraishi VisaJP Canada. The client received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) just before the rule change and obtained permanent residence in 3 months.
Thanks to timely and accurate advice, I was able to immigrate smoothly.

Client Comments
What was the most memorable part of the process?
When I first contacted Shiraishi VisaJP Canada, I had just obtained a two-year work permit with my employer’s support. I wanted to apply for immigration through Express Entry, but I struggled to get the English score required for the skill level of my occupation. When I finally got the score and contacted Shiraishi VisaJP Canada again, I was shocked to learn that the points awarded under Express Entry for a job offer from an employer were about to change. It was two weeks before the change, and the points would drop from 600 to only 50.
With the work permit I held at the time, I did not yet have one year of work experience in Canada, but I had previous experience in a skilled occupation in Canada, so I was eligible to register under the CEC. Immigration consultant Ms. Sakurai told me that if I registered right away, there might be a draw before the points change. I felt I must not miss this chance, so, although it was a gamble, I signed a contract for them to handle my CEC application. As a result, I was lucky enough to receive an ITA (Invitation to Apply) before the points change and was able to move on to my immigration application.
How was your experience using Shiraishi VisaJP Canada’s services?
I believe it was thanks to their quick and accurate advice and speedy responses. While Ms. Sakurai was away, other immigration consultants at Shiraishi VisaJP Canada took care of my file, so a sudden request from the immigration authorities for additional documents was handled without being missed, and my permanent residence review was completed successfully in only about three months.
Future outlook and a message for those planning to travel to Canada
Immigration rules are revised frequently, so I recommend starting your preparations as early as possible and consulting a professional. Preparing alone without any knowledge involves many uncertainties, so I am really glad I received professional support from Shiraishi VisaJP Canada and obtained permanent residence. Thank you very much.
