Moving from Japan to Canada as a Family of Four and Obtaining Permanent Residence|Ms. Y

Ms. Y decided to move abroad with her family after the Great East Japan Earthquake, and, reassured that she could consult us reliably in Japanese, asked Shiraishi VisaJP Canada to handle everything from her Post-Graduation Work Permit to a BCPNP permanent residence application. Despite the difficulty of application rule changes brought about by the introduction of Express Entry, she obtained permanent residence under BCPNP Skilled in approximately 18 months.
It took five years from when we first left Japan, but our whole family obtained permanent residence together.

Why did you decide to immigrate to Canada?
The Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011 prompted us to start exploring moving abroad and obtaining permanent residence. Our children were still small at the time, and I was worried about raising them overseas, but a Canadian friend of ours lived on Vancouver Island, Canada is safe, and permanent residence seemed relatively easy to obtain, so in 2012 I moved to Victoria with my family.
What made you choose Shiraishi VisaJP Canada?
When we first moved, we were working with an immigration counsellor, but while researching work permits and permanent residence applications, I found the Shiraishi VisaJP Canada website. I absolutely did not want to fail in our permanent residence application, so I decided to ask Shiraishi VisaJP Canada, with the reassurance that they would apply reliably and that I could ask questions in Japanese. I asked them to support my post-graduation open work permit after college, a visitor visa for our child, a bridging open work permit, and our BCPNP application.
What was the most memorable part of the process?
After graduating from college, I followed the advice of immigration consultant Ms. Shiraishi and started working at an employer that would be useful for an immigration application. I then focused my preparations on the BCPNP application, but just when I was almost ready, the introduction of Express Entry was announced and PR intake was temporarily suspended. After that, I had to prepare everything again under the new rules, so we were affected. I had taken the job on the condition that the employer would cooperate with my PR application, but preparing documents also takes time and effort for the employer. When it coincided with a busy period at work and I had to wait weeks for documents, it was mentally hard. At that time, Ms. Shiraishi also pushed my manager on her side, which helped a lot.
How was your experience using Shiraishi VisaJP Canada’s services?
Whenever I was unsure which class to apply under, or confused by changes to the immigration rules, Ms. Shiraishi explained things clearly in Japanese, which gave me peace of mind. Above all, with my first time studying abroad, working abroad and applying for immigration, and raising children in an unfamiliar environment, the days flew by, and it was very reassuring to have her support in preparing the necessary documents in time for deadlines. My husband and I could not have made it this far on our own. We are very grateful.
