Client N, who moved from a working holiday to a school offering a co-op visa, received a job offer from an employer and asked Shiraishi VisaJP Canada to handle an LMIA-based work permit application. Overcoming the mismatch between the employment conditions and the LMIA requirements through negotiation, the client obtained permanent residence through BCPNP Express Entry Skilled Worker in approximately 3 months.
It was a long road since I first came to Canada, but by making use of my skills, the review was completed about 3 months after the immigration application, and I obtained permanent residence.

Why did you decide to immigrate to Canada?
I came to Canada on a working holiday. After that, I wanted to study and work a little more in Canada, so I went to a school where I could get a co-op visa. As soon as the study term ended and the work term began, I received a job offer from my current company.
What made you choose Shiraishi VisaJP Canada?
At the interview, I told them about my visa’s expiry date and that I would need the company’s cooperation to apply for a work permit, and I started working with their agreement. I had not expected that I would be able to apply for a work permit, so I knew nothing about it, and I decided to ask Shiraishi VisaJP Canada.
What was the most memorable part of the process?
Immigration consultant Ms. Sakurai explained everything to the company. As a result, it turned out that my employment conditions did not match the requirements for an LMIA application, and it looked as though support would be difficult. However, Ms. Sakurai negotiated with the company many times, and I was able to obtain a work permit.
After that, I decided to ask them to handle my permanent residence application as well. Even before signing the formal contract, I received advice on the necessary documents, and I obtained permanent residence smoothly too.
How was your experience using Shiraishi VisaJP Canada’s services?
I think there are various opinions about hiring a consultant. The disadvantages are the cost and having to visit the office several times for the contract and payments.
The advantages are that they reply to emails very quickly, answer even the smallest questions carefully, and give you advice and support even if you know nothing about visas. In my case, I was not yet used to my job, and adding visa matters on top of that would have been very hard. In the end, I am glad I asked them.
