Client H, who came to Canada on a study permit to obtain an Early Childhood Educator qualification, was introduced to Shiraishi VisaJP Canada by an acquaintance and asked us to handle everything from an LMIA-based work permit to the permanent residence application. Despite the difficulty of an LMIA refusal, we responded quickly with a reapplication, and the client obtained permanent residence through the Canadian Experience Class in approximately 4 months.
Meeting a good employer helped me move from a working holiday to a work permit, and then I applied to immigrate.

Why did you decide to immigrate to Canada?
I first came to Canada on a study permit to obtain an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) qualification. During that time, I learned that many people immigrate through ECE work, and I began aiming for that too.
What made you choose Shiraishi VisaJP Canada?
An ECE acquaintance of mine had obtained permanent residence through Shiraishi VisaJP Canada and introduced them to me as trustworthy.
After my study permit, I obtained a working holiday visa. To immigrate under the Canadian Experience Class, one of the requirements is at least one year of work experience. Since I only started looking for work after getting my working holiday visa, the working holiday alone was not enough to reach one year of work experience, so I needed to find an employer who would support an LMIA work permit. Fortunately, I met an employer who was eager to support visas and had experience doing so, and I started working there. Then, for the LMIA work permit application, I was helped by Ms. Sakurai.
What was the most memorable part of the process?
For the LMIA work permit application, my employer and Ms. Sakurai mainly dealt with each other directly. The LMIA was refused once after a telephone interview with Service Canada, but thanks to Ms. Sakurai and my employer’s quick response, it was approved after reapplying, and I then obtained my work permit.
When I had one year of work experience after switching to the work permit, I consulted Ms. Sakurai again about obtaining permanent residence. For permanent residence, there are many documents I had to obtain myself, so she gave me a list of the required documents in advance and answered my questions quickly. While waiting for permanent residence, there were times I felt anxious about whether documents would arrive in time or whether the review was going smoothly, but in the end I obtained it about 4 months after applying! Honestly, it still has not sunk in that I have immigrated, but I am very happy because it had always been my goal!
How was your experience using Shiraishi VisaJP Canada’s services?
Ms. Sakurai helped me so much with both my work permit and permanent residence! If I know anyone who needs visa support in the future, I would like to introduce them. Thank you!
