Applying for Permanent Residence Through the BCPNP Express Entry Stream|Ms. T

Ms. T built a career as a web designer and graduated from a private college that did not qualify her for a PGWP, and a friend introduced her to Shiraishi VisaJP Canada to handle her permanent residence application. Although it took her six months to get the CELPIP score needed for Express Entry, she obtained permanent residence through BCPNP Express Entry in about 11 months.
I applied together with my common-law partner (we married during the process), and we both successfully obtained permanent residence.

Why did you decide to immigrate to Canada?
After building a career as a web designer in Japan, I moved to Vancouver on my own. I attended a language school for a few months on a study permit, and then spent two years at an IT college to get the chance to find work locally through a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) or a co-op program. Unfortunately, because my school was private, I was not eligible for a PGWP.
However, in my second year of college, I was hired by a local marketing company as a web designer for a one-year co-op, and after that I switched to a working holiday visa and continued working at the same company.
What made you choose Shiraishi VisaJP Canada?
At that point, I decided to obtain permanent residence to secure my status after the working holiday, and a friend introduced me to Shiraishi VisaJP Canada. My friend told me how good their service was and that they could be trusted, so I decided to ask them.
What was the most memorable part of the process?
To prepare for the application, I kept taking the CELPIP test for six months to get the score needed for Express Entry. There were some hard times along the way, but with the help of a tutor my score improved.
After I got the score, I relied entirely on Shiraishi VisaJP Canada. They told me everything I needed to do and prepare, which greatly reduced the stress of the application.
Express Entry usually took about six months, but in my case it ended up taking twice as long, a full year. Whenever I felt anxious along the way and sent them an email, they responded kindly, which put my mind at ease.
I am proud that I achieved my CELPIP score through my own efforts, and my common-law partner at the time of the application, who is now my husband, obtained permanent residence at the same time, so I am very satisfied with the result.
Future outlook and a message for those planning to travel to Canada
We plan to stay in Canada for a few years, and then, considering the education system, we are thinking of moving to my husband’s home country, the Netherlands, before we have children and they start school.
Even so, having Canadian permanent residence has given us more options for the future. I am very grateful to everyone at Shiraishi VisaJP Canada and to my consultant, Ms. Sakurai.
