After a working holiday, Client Y returned to Canada as an international student aiming to become an early childhood educator, and following a free consultation with Shiraishi VisaJP Canada, asked us to handle a study permit extension and a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) application. Although reaching the target IELTS scores took more than a year, the client obtained permanent residence through the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) in about 7 months.
I was able to obtain permanent residence smoothly even during COVID-19, and I am really glad I asked them to handle my application.

Why did you decide to immigrate to Canada?
When I was twenty, I stayed in Canada on a working holiday and had a very fulfilling and enjoyable year. I returned to Japan and got a job, but I strongly wanted to go back to Canada, and ten years later I decided to return to Canada as an international student.
Since I had permanent residence in mind, I studied for two years at a public school eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit, then applied for a PGWP, worked as an early childhood educator, and applied for permanent residence.
What made you choose Shiraishi VisaJP Canada?
I first had a free consultation with Shiraishi VisaJP Canada about applying for permanent residence, and the staff member was so helpful that I intended to apply through Shiraishi VisaJP Canada.
Later, the study permit extension I applied for myself was refused, so I asked them to handle a study permit extension application. After I graduated, they also handled my PGWP application, and they looked after me for several years, all the way to my permanent residence application.
What was the most memorable part of the process?
The hardest part of obtaining permanent residence was raising my IELTS scores to my target. Working full-time while studying for IELTS was physically and mentally demanding. It took more than a year for all four sections to reach my target scores.
How was your experience using Shiraishi VisaJP Canada’s services?
Ms. Sakurai, the immigration consultant in charge of my case, always responded quickly and carefully, and I am truly grateful. I am a worrier and asked lots of questions, but she always gave me precise answers and advice, so I was able to wait with trust and peace of mind. I was able to obtain permanent residence smoothly even during the COVID-19 pandemic, and I am really glad I asked Shiraishi VisaJP Canada to handle my application.
Future outlook and a message for those planning to travel to Canada
Until now, I have worked hard toward the goal of obtaining permanent residence, so from now on I would like to study something new and make my life in Canada even more fulfilling. Obtaining permanent residence was not easy, but I believe that if you keep making an effort, any path will open up.
