Ms. M originally planned to apply for a spousal open work permit, but on her consultant’s suggestion, switched to a permanent residence application as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) through BCPNP. With careful explanations and support, she obtained permanent residence in 8.5 months (of which the PR review took 4 months).
I always felt like they were right beside me — it felt like “a team running toward getting the visa together with me.”

Key Points from the Consultant
We first helped Ms. M apply for a spousal open work permit while she was still in Japan. Since it was during the pandemic, I remember that applying directly at the airport wasn’t an option at the time. At that point, based on her past experience, we also recommended she get a medical exam so she could work as an Early Childhood Educator if needed. That was really the start of Ms. M’s path toward her PR application.
At first she was working in a completely different occupation in Canada, but once Early Childhood Educator became a priority occupation under BCPNP, we recommended she have her Japanese qualification recognized in Canada. After obtaining her Canadian ECE license, she quickly found work as an ECE at a daycare that also supported BCPNP applications — her drive to take action was truly impressive, and everything moved forward smoothly.
Ms. M and her husband both successfully obtained PR, and as a consultant, there is nothing that makes me happier than having been able to support them throughout.

Why did you decide to immigrate to Canada?
Ten years ago, when I came to Vancouver for a short-term study program, I loved the atmosphere of the city and thought, “It would be wonderful if I could live here someday.”
By chance, I met my now-husband, who is Korean, in Vancouver, and when we thought about our future together, we agreed to live in a third country that was neither Japan nor Korea, so I decided to immigrate to Canada.
What made you choose Shiraishi VisaJP Canada?
It was the first result that came up when I searched “Vancouver visa agent.” Looking through the site, I could see how substantial the immigration consultants’ track record and columns were, and I intuitively felt I could trust them.
What was the most memorable part of the process?
At first I asked them to help with my husband’s spousal open work permit application, but at the first counselling session, when I shared our future hopes, Ms. Sakurai told me, “Rather than your husband applying for PR, it might be more certain if you apply for PR yourself as an Early Childhood Educator through BCPNP.”
At the time I hadn’t thought too deeply about it, but in the end things proceeded exactly as Ms. Sakurai had said.
How was your experience using Shiraishi VisaJP Canada’s services?
They explained the process toward obtaining the visa and permanent residence, along with the required documents, very clearly, which made it easy for me to prepare. Whenever I had questions or worries, I got a reply by email right away, so things moved forward smoothly without building up stress.
They also responded quickly to Canada’s constantly changing visa rules, encouraging me with things like, “Let’s get this submitted by such-and-such date!” I felt the depth of their support in how many times they followed up with my employer as well.
Future outlook and a message for those planning to travel to Canada
I really feel like I’ve finally reached the starting line. I did some research into immigration myself, but I’m truly glad I asked Shiraishi VisaJP Canada for help.
Canada’s immigration policy keeps changing day by day, but I hope everyone finds the best path for themselves.
If you have any worries, talking to a visa consultant might open up a new path for you.
Additional Comments
I have used other agents before, for things like my working holiday visa and having my Early Childhood Educator license transferred, as well as my husband’s LMIA-based work permit, but Shiraishi VisaJP Canada was by far the most reassuring and trustworthy!
I always felt like they were right there with me, and even though I was asking them to handle things on my behalf, it felt like “a team running toward getting the visa together with me.” I’m filled with gratitude!
